A Newly Dug Well for a Domestic House

Back to previous page

So we know we bang on about this kind of stuff all the time. But if you didn’t know already we can create bespoke water treatment systems for any domestic or commercial properties. We specialise in tailor made water treatment systems to help with multiple problems with water. You could be struggling with hard water, low pH, smelly water, don’t worry that’s what we are here for!

We like sharing our work with you as much as we can to show what different issues in water we help with and showcasing our work! Here is our last project we did over in Ireland actually, if you didn’t know that, we have a secondary office in Ireland so we can help in lots of different areas!

issues in the water

This was a newly dug well for a domestic house which had the following issues in the water supply. When doing the initial water analysis the following was found in the water:

  • Iron
  • Manganese
  • Hardness
  • Slightly discoloured
  • Coliforms

what we supplied

After we gather this information it’s up to our trusty team to come up with a specifically tailored water treatment solution to overcome these issues.

What we supplied to one of our customers:

the solution

Starting with the sediment filter. A sediment filter does precisely what any sediment filter would do, with an added effect of reducing slime-building bacteria on the filter itself. It removes particles such as rust, sand, scale and silt and is an excellent pre-filter for any water treatment solution so it’s 9 times out of 10, a good place to start when creating a bespoke solution.

Next is, surprise surprise, Ecomix! Ecomix is a good all rounder when it comes to treating problematic water due to its unique blend of five different filter medias, that will provide an all-in-one treatment for the removal of iron, manganese, ammonia, organic matter and water hardness.

Finally we have the Luminor Blackcomb LB5-103. The UV was placed last to eliminate the bacteria from within the water. A pre-filter is used before the UV, to stop bacteria being able to hide behind any particles, which is known as shadowing.

Thinking of getting your own bore hole?

If you are thinking of getting your own bore hole due to water being so expensive to buy in large quantities, a well/bore hole would be a great solution. All well water would need a UV, as it’s coming straight from the ground, you’ll probably find that it has all the similar issues with the water; iron, hardness and bacteria, all of which a UV can sort. The reason there will be those issues is because other water suppliers pump a lot of chlorine in the water to get rid of the bacteria. You may also find that

pH could be off if you source your own water, and it could be more acidic which is not what you want as it could attack your pipes. But no worries, that’s exactly what J&F is here for. We can tackle all these issues. All you need to do is give us a call – 01538 399048.

After this recent installation there has been no more issues, and the customer said his client was very happy with newly installed systems!

Whether it’s a full, multi-stage solution for an industrial application or a simple system for domestic requirements, we’re able to provide you with exactly what you’ll need. If you’d like to discuss your water treatment requirements, or you’re a water treatment engineer, contractor or installer, get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
