Borehole supply feeding poultry farm

Borehole supply feeding poultry farm

We work closely with a lot of business and people that draw water from a borehole. There are many benefits to drawing water out of a borehole and placing our equipment with it to get your own water supply.

These benefits include:

  • Cost efficient: Boreholes can reduce water costs compared to using your generic mains water supplier.
  • Environmental benefits: Boreholes are a sustainable natural water source with minimal environmental impact.
  • Great Water quality: Borehole water can be of higher quality than mains water, depending on the location and geology. Paired with our tailored water treatment filtration it works hand in hand.

For this type of job we always recommend getting a water report, this will flag the main issues in the water and enable us to supply the best equipment suited to get out the things you don’t want in the water.

Upon receiving the water analysis, we had the following to contend with;

  • Manganes
  • Iron
  • Hardnes
  • Sulphate
  • Turbidity

What J&F Water Treatment Supplied:

2 of 13×54 Turbidity Units – installed in parallel. High levels of suspended matter in water can make it appear cloudy. Turbidity can also affect the taste and odour of water. For example, calcium can cause a bitter taste.

2 of 13×54 Pyrolox Pro Iron Removal Units – installed in parallel. The pyrolox units are effective at reducing iron, manganese and hydrogen sulphide in problem waters. We don’t want iron in the water as it can add a metallic taste to the water supply. Iron in water can promote the growth of certain bacteria, which can produce a slimy coating that clogs pipes and filters.

These units are to be placed in parallel to mitigate dry running or downtime. Microswitches can also be used to prevent RO pump from running dry during cycle.

1 of Antiscalant Dosing Unit – This is an important device that injects antiscalant chemicals into water to prevent scale from forming in water treatment systems. For example, it ads longevity to the lifespan of the RO membranes.

1 of MO36000 Reverse Osmosis System – Permeate flow of 1500l/hr. This commercial reverse osmosis system provides up to 1500 litres per hour of purified water, removing up to 99.8% of impurities. This system is a reliable turnkey solution for various commercial and residential applications.
