Working with Mains Water for a Food Manufacturing Plant

This was mains water and was located down south so the water being used needed softening as we all know water down south is extremely hard and can cause pipework and appliances to have limescale build up, not ideal in a food manufacturing situation…or any situation really. So as previously mentioned we popped in a water softener to help with the hardness, then we also added an RO. Reverse osmosis water is free from impurities, contaminants, and minerals, which can affect the taste, odour, and appearance of water. It is also free from harmful substances such as lead, chlorine, and fluoride, which can pose a risk to human health. Also it’s a rule of thumb that a softener and a reverse osmosis system work hand in hand together to provide clean fresh drinking water.
